Our individual adult sessions are designed to help clients navigate a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. We utilize evidence-based treatments to help clients build resiliency, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve their goals.
Julie creates a space that is safe for individuals to share their stories by being genuine and authentic. Different therapeutic approaches are utilized during therapy, but Julie often leans on strategies from narrative therapy, solution-focused, CBT, emotionally focused, and person-centered. At the root of therapy is the therapeutic relationship and Julie takes the time to learn about her clients by asking meaningful and thoughtful questions. She is aware that therapy is a journey and modifies her style to meet the unique needs of each individual. Julie is patient and supportive, often checking in during therapy to ensure the client feels safe and heard.
Julie is passionate about working with adults in the following areas: parenting, life transitions, burn out, children concerns, relationship, stress, sleep disturbances, feeling overwhelmed, life goals, ADHD, trauma, unresolved childhood experiences, and many more.
Julie was a former teacher and understands the stress of working while managing all the demands of life. In addition, she enjoys working with students who are trying to figure out how to manage school load and life. Julie has a particular interest in supporting university students with school-life balance and next steps in life and career.
Julie is looking forward to connecting with you!
